Red Velvet Cupcakes



  Treasure Of Recipes proudly presents Red Velvet Cupcakes. Deep red and velvety soft cupcakes look great for all special romantic moments and Valentine's treats.

 

INGREDIENTS:


1. Flour: 2 ¼ cup(s).

2. Coco powder 1/2 cup (half cup)(unsweetened).

3. Baking soda 1 ½ teaspoon.

4. Salt 1/2 teaspoon.

5. Butter 1 ¼ cup(s).

6. Sugar 2 cup(s).

7. Eggs: 4 eggs.

8. Vanilla essence 2-3 teaspoon.

9. Sour cream 1 cup.

10. Milk ½ cup (half cup).

11. Red food color (liquid) 2 tablespoon.

 

COOKING DIRECTIONS:


1. Preheat the oven to 200 degree C & line cup cake mould with paper cup.

2. In a medium size bowl add flour, coco powder, salt and baking soda.

3. In another bowl beat sugar and butter with the electric mixture until it is creamy.

4. Add eggs one by one while beating, also drop vanilla and start beating again.

5. Now put the sour cream in the mixture.

6. Add all the dry ingredients & then milk and mix in food color.

7. Spoon mixture 2/3 full in paper cups and bake @ 180 degree C for 20-22 mins.

8. Let it cool down & frost it with your favorite frosting.
